Skilled Nominated(Subclass 190) Visa
This Australian state sponsored visa is for skilled workers who are nominated by a state or territory.
Each State and Territory Government publishe a list of occupations in short supply in their area. They may impose specific eligibility requirements such as work experience, English language ability or specialised skills in order to nominate you for this visa.
The Criteria
In order to qualify for a Subclass 190 visa, you will be required to:
- Hold a suitable skills assessment in an occupation that is available for State or Territory Sponsorship
- Lodge an EOI
- Be nominated by a State or Territory Government
- Meet the pass mark in the Skilled Migration points- currently 60 (State Nomination give you additional 5 points)
- Be aged between 18 and 49 inclusive
- Have at least competent English
- Meet health and character requirement
Family members included such as partner, children and other dependant family members must meet English, health and character requirements.
What does this visa let me do?
The visa is a permanent visa, allowing applicants to remain in Australia indefinitely with full work rights. You would generally be expected to reside for 2 years in the State or Territory which nominated you for the visa.
If you are outside Australia when the visa is granted, you and your family members will need to enter Australia for the first time prior to expiry of your health and police clearances.
