Announced today: New 5 year temporary visas for Parents

Assistant Immigration Minister Alex Hawke announced the government’s plans of implementing a new 5 year temporary visa for aged parents of Australian citizens and permanent residents. This visa is set to take effect from 1 July 2017

This is great news for people who want to sponsor their parents but have been unable to due to the balance of family test requirements or the extremely high cost of contribution required by the Government for contributory parent visas.
